Arya and Shima began the day getting ready, though they chose to keep one tradition intact. The groom saw the bride in her gown for the first time during the ceremony, a moment that held the whole room still. Surrounded by refined decor, they exchanged vows in the historic setting of the villa.

We moved into portraits on the villa's iconic staircase, then out into the grounds. When the rain cleared, we captured a series of editorial frames with a classic Porsche. The evening closed with a champagne tower and a fireworks show over Lake Como, a fitting finale to a day of pure celebration.

Villa Erba is one of the most distinguished wedding venues on Lake Como, a 19th-century neoclassical estate in Cernobbio on the western shore of the lake. Built in the late 1800s, it is closely tied to the family of film director Luchino Visconti, who spent his childhood summers here. The villa's interiors, period furnishings, and grand staircase still carry the atmosphere of that era.

The estate sits within a vast lakefront park of cedars and historic trees, with open views across the water toward the mountains. Between the antique villa, the gardens, and the private lakeshore, it offers a rare combination of history, space, and authentic Lake Como grandeur, well suited to both elegant ceremonies and large celebrations.
